Super Dog

 Did you know that the Great Dane is considered something like the Apollo God (God of the beauty)of dogs, due to his shape, his elegance and his size?

Besides it´s enormous size ( some males can weight 80 kgs or more), its a breed that is excellent as a friend and as a guardian. Very loving and faithful to its owners, especially to children.

Sure, nature is very wise, and this is a very good dog. Otherwise, it would be a "great" problem to owners. Don´t you think?

Probably you have heard of "Scooby Doo". He is an example of Great Dane, but in my opinion, a little bit clumsy.

¿Sabíais que el Dogo, está considerado como el Apolo (Dios de la belleza) de los perros por su porte, elegancia y gran tamaño?.

Dejando a un lado el tema de las dimensiones (algunos machos pueden llegar a pesar más de 80 Kg), se trata de una raza excelente como guardián y de compañía. Muy cariñoso y fiel con sus dueños especialmente si se trata de niños.

Está claro que la naturaleza es sabia, pues de lo contrario, un perro de tales dimensiones si no fuese tan bueno y dócil, sería un gran problema ¿no creeis?.

Seguro que a todos os suena "Scooby Doo". Es un ejemplo de Dogo alemán aunque llevado a los dibujos, un tanto patoso...

This breed has been mistreat for ages in order to make money in dog races.
Fortunately, now they are seen as a family pets, and people enjoy the friendly behaviour of these charming animals.

The cosmic cat

Since I´ve finished this picture, I think that it reminds me a tipical Manga comic. Perhaps his enormous and clear eyes are trying to tell us something. No doubt, cats are mysterious and loving animals.

The calm friend

I want to introduce to you a calm friend. Just his eyes talk by themselves. The dark marks in his face are a personal and unique identity feature. I´ve enjoyed a lot by making this picture especially because the beauty of this pet and the tranquility that he communicates. Do you feel the same?

Schnauzer barbudo y Collie melenudo.

I´d like to picture some pet that had long hair and I figured out that some kind of dogs that have this appearance, are Schnauzer and  Collie.
Of course, the need more care, so the need to be brushed twice per day at less. They also have to go to the beauty salon...., but in change, they are really spectaculars.

Tenía ganas de hacer algún retrato de un perro de pelo largo y se me ocurrió que entre las diferentes razas que tienen esta característica, el Schnauzer y  el Collie me servirían para comenzar.
Es cierto que requieren más cuidados, pues hay que cepillarlos cada día al menos dos veces, llevarlos a la pelu, etc..., pero la verdad es que son espectaculares.

Huellas de gato

Los gatitos atigrados tienen un encanto especial, sobretodo si te miran como el de la foto. Para pirograbarlos son más dificultosos, pero el resultado es mucho más espectacular.
En este caso para darle un toque de ternura añadida, se me ocurrió enmarcarlo como si asomara por una pequeña ventana y además adornarlo con sus huellitas.

Max, el guardián.

En un blog como este en el que aparecen tantos retratos de perros, no podía faltar el pastor alemán, "el perro" por excelencia, el genuino perro policía, guardíán, etc....
